Commissioned by Adrian Smith for the the Blackley Band 2018 performance at the French Open Championships, Shindig is an approachable concert item for lower-section band. This quirky work takes artistic inspiration from the titles meaning - a lavish party which usually involves dancing. An Irish reel, with two contrasting themes ensues, providing opportunity for various instrumental families and several solo cameos to ‘take the floor.’
